Founded by Maria Yoon, a visionary artist and the company’s founder, Private Museum Tours is committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity, including art exhibitions for kids at the end of the year. Our museum guides are currently employed in the educational departments at New York’s most prestigious museum institutions like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and have conducted thousands of tours involving a wide range of content, age, and group sizes. We offer VIP service (no waiting in line). Our expert guides will escort you to a private, hidden entrance. Limited to four (4) persons. If you are traveling with more than four (4) people, contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our tours are based on fun facts and storytelling. We believe in empowering young children with exciting art while creating discussions to help them develop their imaginations, share their ideas, and formulate their thoughts. Our 30-plus years of experience have taught us that encouraging and fueling a child’s imagination is the key to success. We provide creative discussions and engage their imaginations with story-based information. We also offer an art exhibition opportunity at the end of the year.
Our founder Maria Yoon strongly believes that through art-making experiences, you get to appreciate these incredible artifacts and artworks coming alive. Maria does this to teach these young minds by putting her words into action, not just talking about them. Our annual exhibits are held at Bar 135, a local restaurant in Tribeca where Maria, a veteran New Yorker, resides.
We offer exclusive and private tours of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Wednesdays, unavailable to the general public during closed hours. Our tour guide is experienced, mature, and knowledgeable. Most are museum staff members who can provide behind-the-scenes stories and experiences that other tours cannot offer. We offer intimate tours dedicated to you and your family (5 people or fewer). If your family exceeds 5 members, please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Content is tailored to your interests, group size, and age group. Chinese, French, Italian, and Spanish-speaking guides are available upon request.
