The company was founded by Jagan Biswakarma, along with his passionate team of local mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts, in 2013. Jagan has been working in cycling and outdoor adventure tourism as a MTB guide, and tourism entrepreneur and advocating the potential of mountain biking and cycling tourism and outdoor adventures in rural and untouched places of Nepal since 2001.
One of the primary goals of PMTBA is to provide guided mountain biking and cycling tours in the Himalayas, along with quality mountain biking tours, rentals and other outdoor adventures for European, American, and Australian travellers. Additionally, PMTBA aims to offer cycling training in private and government schools to promote an active mindset, health benefits, sports, recreation, and a clean and green environment. The company is also committed to organising local events and high-altitude mountain biking events and tourism in the Himalayas to provide authentic mountain biking experiences to travellers from around the world. Ultimately, PMTBA’s vision is to position Nepal as a top mountain biking and cycling adventure destination in the world.
To achieve this vision, Jagan partnered with various groups, including mountain bike riders, trekkers, local youths and clubs, community leaders, and social, cycling, outdoor adventures and local government and international organizations. PMTBA is registered under the tourism ministry to educate and raise awareness among the youth and local community about the benefits of mountain biking and outdoor adventure tourism. PMTBA strives to provide personalized and authentic services, with quality mountain bike tours and rentals at the forefront of their offerings.
We empower girls and encourage young people to ride mountain bikes and cycle. In Nepal, societal conventions and male domination discourage girls from cycling. We want to change this by highlighting the benefits of cycling, improving fitness, mental well-being, and creating a more socially conscious and equitable society. Our goal is to motivate girls and young people to participate in cycling tourism, benefiting the local economy and boosting confidence and self-esteem. We aspire to create a socially responsible and gender-equal society through cycling.
