Pickleball England

Although pickleball is a young and relatively unknown sport, the activity of playing pickleball has made it one of the fastest growing sports globally over the past decade. While appearing similar to other racquet or paddle sports from the outside, pickleball’s unique gameplay and varying game styles make it easy for people to pick up, play and enjoy inclusively across different age groups and demographics. Pickleball is truly a sport that is designed for all and its rapid, organic growth is as much to do with enjoying playing as it is to do with bringing groups of people together. Pickleball England is a not-for-profit organization here to help aid the growth of pickleball across the country and bring communities together through exercise and a sense of belonging.
Pickleball England was created by the two founding Directors in late 2018 and launched to players in January 2019
There are currently an estimated 4000+ active pickleball players in England, mainly participating on badminton or tennis courts. In August 2019, the Board of Directors expanded to include 6 Regional Directors and in January 2021, our volunteer workforce was supplemented with the addition of County Representatives.
