Ottawa Consultants was founded by Michael Wood who local, Canadian and international media outlets referred to as the voice and face of small business during the pandemic as he met with Canadian government officials to try and help save as many small businesses as possible.

Michael Wood is a multifaceted individual known for his contributions as a business owner, educator, advocate, and musician. Michael Wood was one of the co-founders of Ottawa Special Events, a successful event rental company. He sold it in 2021 due to the pandemic. Michael Wood is also a professor at Algonquin College in Ottawa, teaching in programs that deliver courses on the music industry, media, film, and business. Michael is also a former touring guitar player who was discovered by Casey Kasem, the American Idol Insider on various Fox News stations and a published author. Michael is also currently working with all levels of government to ensure a seamless transition to next-generation 911 (NG-911). Michael Wood has won many awards including but limited to a Forty Under 40 and Algonquin College’s Alumni of Distinction Award.
Ottawa Consultants was developed outside of the pandemic to help businesses continue to grow by providing many different services directly and through a variety of partnerships.
