Okanagan Candle Co.

A friend started this candle company in 2015 when her kids left the country to become professional athletes and she was looking for something to occupy her spare time. In 2019, she started a new business venture and offered me the opportunity to take over the business. I took it over from her in 2019 when I needed a change in my life. It allows me to be creative and keeps me very busy, we have expanded the line of soy candles, wax melts and room sprays and now have four seasonal collections. We also have custom candles which have been flying off the shelf, realtors, stores, wineries have all requested customized candles with their own labels and scents. Candles as wedding favours are beginning to sell as people are rescheduling missed celebrations. Myself, along with my three adult daughters have all contributed in one way or another to growing the business. Of course the Global Pandemic put things at a bit of a stand still as we could no longer participate in any Markets here in British Columbia. Our online business increased with people limited largely to online shop, we offer free local delivery so you don’t even have to leave your house. We have recently secured a commercial space which we plan to open in August of 2021 and expand our product line even further.
