We are a custom bike wheel building company based out of Cambridge. We build wheels for road bikes, track, and mountain bikes. We specialize in high-end aluminium wheelsets that are durable and affordable. We do both custom ordered and pre-selected builds. Custom builds are arranged by the customer emailing us or via messenger/ Instagram. All purchases are done through our website.

Our fonder (rob hampton) formed the company after he had an incident where one of his wheels folded under him on a ride for no clear reason. Noflex’s goal is strong, light wheels that are affordable so that people can experience the joys of riding. We what to give people wheels that let them do what they want with the bike. Not what the bike wants you to do.

For road bike wheels we do a range of preselected builds starting from £300 and going to £700 for a carbon wheelset. We have both rim and disc brake wheels to suit any bike. We deal with lots of companies so that we can cater to any customer needs. These include but not limited to Dt Swiss, Extralite, Asco, Shimano, tune, Ridea and Halo. We have done builds for fat bikes, lefty’s, tracklocross bikes and more.

We do a range of proprietary track bike wheels to address a gap in the market. These wheels cover 2 price points. The first is at the lower price point we have made a more reliable and lighter wheelset in our always ride. This is aimed at riders who use their bike to commute or run deliveries every day and need reliability as well as less resistance. We do this wheelset in a range of colours as well as rainbow-coloured spokes.

The other track wheels that we do are our corner slicers. These are aimed at criterium riders and velodrome riders. They are a much lighter wheelset that is also more aero, which means that for people who race off the track they are more responsive whilst not having the high cost of other track wheels.

We have a team of wheel builders with more than 5 years in the industry that enable us to build stronger and lighter wheels than our competitors. Using high-end tools to cut spokes, true the wheel plus tension each spoke we are confident in our wheels to the point where we offer a guarantee against broken spokes for the first 3 months.

Customers can come and build their own wheels with us. We show them the process from start to finish for assembling a bike wheel. We take them through part selection, calculating spoke length, lacing the wheel, trueing, destressing and lastly spoke tensioning. All of this is done whilst under expert supervision. At the end, all wheels are checked by our technician to make sure that they meet our standard.
We ship or wheels around the UK and the EU as well as letting the customer collect their wheels from us directly.
