NAAC recognises that contractors have become an integral and vital part of UK agriculture, with many farmers struggling to operate without them. Contractors are land managers, advisors and protectors of the countryside. They are providers of skilled labour and suppliers of high capital-cost machinery and professional services. Our members are professional and well-informed with access to the latest information and advice.
Founded in 1893, the NAAC represents contractors in the UK who supply all types of land-based services to farmers, government, local authorities, sports and recreational facilities. We are committed to representing the interests of members at national and, where needed, international level. Our aim is to be certain that land-based contractors are always at the forefront of government policy moving forward. We offer information and expert advice, promote the services of our members and assist contractors in providing a professional and competitive service to farmers and the local community.
The NAAC not only represents contractors at national Government level, but we also work closely with other agricultural and land-based organisations. Members are represented on a vast variety of committees including the Defra Productivity Taskforce, Voluntary Initiative, Farm Safety Partnership, Agricultural Industry Advisory Committee, Amenity Forum, NRoSO, Food Standards Agency and Basis Board.
