Munki Business IT

I am the founder, Warren Milburn, and I am an IT professional with more than 30 years of experience in the industry, having had jobs as IT Trainer, Systems Administrator and Senior Software Engineering Consultant.

I became interested in doing IT as a Managed Services Provider, but I wanted more from this part of the industry. Through collaborators, I discovered that a new way of doing things was emerging in the USA, headed by industry guru Gary Pica of TruMethods. I sought training in this new business model to bring it to clients in the UK.

Our offering is strategically managed IT services. The model for this is the Technology Success Provider (TSP) model. Our superpower is in the alignment of technology goals with the goals of client organisations.

Too often and for too long, small businesses have seen IT support as a service (much like office cleaning) and a costly one. In the old ways of managing services, the service provider had little incentive to drive down that cost. By only loosely coupling that cost with our revenue, we were able to add value in other areas – the strategy required to gain greater efficiency and productivity from the client’s IT. We see all IT as potential contributors to the client’s revenue and show them how to achieve that.
