Although the website publishes much of the content found in print, it also offers original video content, historic photo albums, and archived content. The website also provides news, features and a local connection for people living outside our readership/service area. Readership is broad and multi-generational. People like our publication and say it’s important to their lives. Since its inception, Metro Monthly has influenced the marketplace – in content, presentation, and expectations for quality. Many or our ideas and practices have been quietly adopted by competitors.
Mark C. Peyko co-founded Metro Monthly in 1992. Peyko has a master’s degree in Historic Preservation Planning from Eastern Michigan University and an undergraduate degree in English and journalism from Youngstown State University. While living in Michigan, he worked at The Ann Arbor News.
