Maps Over Coffee
Travel. Outdoor. And Coffee

Hi! I’m Steve from Maps Over Coffee.

I wanted something that provides the best information to help you plan your next outdoor excursion. From trail reviews and camping tips to gear reviews and travel itineraries.

I’ve come a long way since I began this journey. I can honestly say that I am miles away from where I intended to be. But it has turned out better than I can have imagined.

But isn’t that how the best trips go? I don’t know about you, but I love to pore over maps, imagining every detail of a trip. But what excites me the most is knowing that there is some unplanned side road or excursion that is going to turn the trip into worthwhile stories to come home with.

So as I continue in my journey building this website, I can promise you this – Whether you’re looking for a weekend away or a week-long trip of exploration, Maps Over Coffee has all the resources you need to make your journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Whatever trail we take, whichever campground we discover, whatever gear we test, I want to make sure to arm you with the best resources to get the most out of your next trip.

So grab that cup of coffee and pull out the maps. Start exploring with Maps Over Coffee! We’ll help take your outdoor adventure dreams out of the clouds and into reality!

What Does Maps Over Coffee Mean?

We like to think that Maps Over Coffee is more than just an outdoor travel and adventure website. I mean sure, we cover just about everything that deals with camping, hiking, trail running, and water sports.

And yes, we have in-depth gear reviews from experienced outdoors people that actually use this stuff. In that sense, we are what you would expect from an outdoor travel site.

But it goes beyond outdoor action sports and adventure. We have found that there is so much more to traveling than just being in a destination and doing a thing.

It’s about experiencing the people and the cultures. Not just passing through as self-indulgent tourists. But being true explorers means having conversations. Making connections.

The people that we become are influenced by the things that we have seen and the people that we have encountered. Not by insulating ourselves from the world and simply passing through it.

The Lighter Side

We also realize that we can’t take ourselves too seriously. Don’t worry. If there is anything that I like more than traveling, it’s a good dad joke.

And if there is anything that I like better than a good dad joke, it is a bad dad joke. The bigger the eye roll, the better!

So I will sprinkle in some humor in whatever article I am writing. At least, I will be laughing at my jokes.
