Touched by the mystery we call life, his inspiration flows through sound, words, and encounters—both in one-on-one sessions and with groups.
Previously, he was successful as a music writer and producer for record labels and artists. Yet, despite golden records and chart success, he did not find the true wealth and deep connection he longed for, so he traded the studio for an inner journey.
For ten years, his days began in prayer and meditation. He traveled the world in search of inner freedom—until he realized that, just as when he worked in music studios, he was still chasing the perfect tomorrow. “Tomorrow I will write the perfect music” had now become “Tomorrow my meditation will be truly still, my prayer sincere, tomorrow I will be enlightened.”
A deep depression followed—until the day nothing changed. Nothing changed, and yet nothing would ever be the same again. His search ended in the recognition that the true illusion is not the world around us, but our attachment to the image of ourselves and how life should unfold.
Since then, today is no longer a stepping stone to the perfect tomorrow. Joris lives and breathes the silence we are before any movement. From that silence, he meets the rhythm of the seasons, plays music, and writes poems and books.
