Hatfield Taylor is a full-service agency located in Montgomery, Alabama, managed by two partners with a core team of 10 people and a 300+ strong global talent network distributed across 90 locations around the world.

The company started in a small bungalow in Seagrove Beach, Florida in 2009 as a web development company, and one of the first partners was extremely interested in graphic design, and the other (and current) partner Joe Bass started coding over 25 years ago on a piece of paper during free time at school, where he would go back and enter the code and build websites for fun.

Joe decided to continue building the business to cater to smaller businesses that had lower budgets but needed a quality web presence.

He saw an opening in social media as a way to promote the businesses he worked for and started utilizing it so early that he was creating MySpace pages for clients. Yep…MySpace. Needless to say, the social marketing push paid off as not many at all were using it for business at the time.

This continued into learning more about search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising.

Around 2012 there was a realization that more talented coders were needed not only for new technology, but also to help with the increasing workload, and so they began handpicking the best they could find from around the world to onboard.

At around the same time, Hatfield Taylor started making a big push into the PPC world where they were learning to make a big impact with smaller budgets. Still to this day they believe that those shoestring budgets, in the beginning, have helped them maximize ROI for their customers now with large marketing budgets.

As a company, having several organizations that help the community as clients is and will always be important to Hatfield Taylor. Giving mostly free time to them when possible and charging only true cost when more complex applications are requested is still in their DNA.

Today, Hatfield Taylor is a full-service agency that provides services such as custom web development, software application development, production video for TV commercials, as well as a robust web marketing department. Joe Bass and Dale Gray are now the managing partners.

Hatfield Taylor has no physical building and if all goes as planned, never will. The company prefers to work with independent workers from all over the planet giving them the ability to work with some truly amazing people who are passionate and great at their craft.

in 2020 Hatfield Taylor decided to make another big push in the web development area as they were seeing a growing number of websites being published with pre-built templates that were bogged down with code and styling that wasn’t needed. They have moved to utilize Webflow more often than WordPress as it allows them to build faster (with much faster loading websites) more efficiently, collaborates better, and use tech with highly optimized marketing tools giving them the ability to create even more fantastic marketing campaigns.

Hatfield Taylor is still a believer in TV and commercials as well. As many write it off as old and outdated, they see proof again and again that when they run commercials for their clients, the money they spend on digital marketing is greatly amplified because the business has already been branded with potential customers. That’s why they have a staff locally that shoots video led by a videography veteran of over 25 years, Dale Gray. Also, in-house is an editing department and commercial deployment team to push spots across news broadcasts, sporting events, and of course streaming TV. They have a full-time spot scheduler who makes sure the commercials are in the right place at the right time by scheduling exactly when a spot should air. This is very important to have someone pay close attention to this so the budget doesn’t get placed incorrectly or fill a station’s “gaps”.

They are well known for spending their customer’s money as if it were their own.

The goal of Hatfield Taylor is always to be a servant to their customers, going far beyond when it comes to consulting, being open and available, making sure that every client has their reps cell phone number to text or call, and providing lightning-fast deployment.

The job is tough at times, but mostly it’s just a lot of fun enjoying what they do. Watching a business grow is such a great feeling for the team at Hatfield Taylor.

The goal is to grow alongside their customers and have wonderful long-term relationships. Enjoying each other’s company is very important. Advertising is what they do, but it’s the relationships and shared successes that make for a true feeling of accomplishment for the Hatfield Taylor team.
