Good Boy Bone

Good Boy Bone was designed with dogs in mind. The founders originally launched a print on demand service, offering a multitude of designs to be printed on just about anything. Cristi, a graphic designer, created hundreds of unique artwork for the company. Dan, a software specialist, got to work on the website and back-end services.

As print on demand became more popular, consumers could easily print their own designs without the help of a 3rd party website. This helped push the art and science duo in another direction.

Cristi and Dan went to work on a new idea for Good Boy Bone. Their Jack Russell, Hamilton, was their inspiration.

A new and improved version of their website went live in the Fall of 2020. This time around, they decided to offer helpful information to dog owners. This includes things like ‘Tips and Tricks’ for new dog owners. An introduction to pet food nutrition (with a focus on what not to buy), and dog food reviews (with a focus on nutrition).

You may be wondering what a graphic designer and a software specialist know about pet food nutrition etc? Well, the answer is simple. They both became certified in pet food nutrition and applied what they learned to how they care for their beloved Hamilton (aka Hami).

They found they were, like many people, feeding Hami dog food that came from the bag with the best marketing jargon versus the best nutrition. Armed with that knowledge, they went on a long hunt for the optimal food for their furry companion. Hami has never been healthier or happier.

As their Good Boy Bone blog expands, it will continue to offer sound advice to dog owners all over the world. Cristi and Dan’s passion for dogs keeps them up late at night and up early in the morning to improve the site and to make it a valuable resource to pet owners.
