We offer a wide range of services to students from kindergarten through senior year of high school and beyond, with a focus on helping each child achieve long-term academic success and preparing them to apply to and succeed in college and later in life.

The heart of our program focuses on helping students tackle their daily academic challenges to become better students who have mastered their core skills. We offer academic tutoring in almost every subject for students from K-12 and beyond. Whether a student needs help for a big test or a weekly session to master a tough subject, our tutors are available to support your child’s academic success seven days a week, either in-person at our Gaithersburg center or online via Zoom. We also offer support for core skills in reading and writing as well as study skills and executive functioning, since we find many children struggle to learn while also managing the increased demands placed on them as they progress through their academic career. With no contracts or pre-paid plans and an easy scheduling and cancelation system, your child can receive as much assistance as they really need when they need it any day of the week. Everest’s tutors are subject-matter experts who are experienced in helping different types of learners master a subject and are passionate about helping their students succeed in school.

Everest’s test prep program can prepare a student for admissions tests such as the SAT, ACT, PSAT, SSAT, HSPT, ISEE, GRE, and more. Our test preparation methods are based on more than twenty years of experience working with admissions tests and preparing every kind of student to improve their performance, achieve their target score, and support their admission to their schools of choice. Test prep is offered as 1:1 tutoring or in small-group classes, so we can meet every student’s individual needs. We recommend students start with a free diagnostic test assessment to find out where they currently score on their planned admissions test, after which we will meet with the student and their family to review the results, discuss their current academic record and future school plans, and then provide a recommendation on how to prepare successfully to meet their admissions test goal. All of our test prep tutors are specially trained on our proprietary methods and techniques, and each specializes in specific test areas so that we can offer each student the right tutor for helping improve their weakest areas on the test and raise their score.

As students progress through high school, we offer a timeline of services to support their college admissions journey, from high school course selection, to college list building, to focusing their activities and narrative, and much more. Students can utilize individual counseling throughout high school and culminate with our college application workshop in August before senior year, which will have the student fully prepared to apply to college before school begins. We also offer specialized support for crafting compelling essays and short answer responses, which include brainstorming, coaching, and editing of the draft. No matter what a student needs help with in preparing an application, we can support them.
