At its core, our business was built out of a simple, personal need: to find gentle, effective, and trustworthy skincare for irritated, sensitive skin. Specifically, for people dealing with conditions like seborrheic dermatitis—a skin concern that can be both physically uncomfortable and emotionally draining. We saw the impact that harsh treatments, especially steroid-based ones, were having on people’s skin health over time, and we knew there had to be a better way.
Our founder, a pharmacist with years of experience in both clinical settings and product formulation, had seen firsthand how many conventional treatments focused on quick fixes—temporarily reducing symptoms but often at the cost of long-term skin health. Steroids might calm a flare-up, but they can thin the skin, cause rebound effects, and ultimately create a cycle that’s hard to break. Knowing this, and with a deep understanding of both skin physiology and medicinal plant compounds, she set out to create something different.
