My passion for helping others has given me the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of leaders and share their struggles, victories, and disappointments along their leadership development journey.

My own career journey has given me the privilege to work with leaders in for-profit, non-profit, government, healthcare, housing development, entrepreneurs, and more recently, young, up-and-coming new leaders and entrepreneurs. The challenges they faced allowed me the opportunity to coach and mentor them to develop their leadership skills. The obstacles that new leaders must overcome so they can move up to the next level are often overwhelming.

My first role as a leader was in my early twenties, when my boss asked me to be the supervisor of a new construction crew as part of expanding the company’s services. The biggest problem I faced was being the youngest on the team of 15 guys with an average of 10-years experience each. The best thing I did was admit my ignorance and support the team to be productive, getting some early wins. I was in that role for two years helping the company grow, resulting in the owner selling the company and making a 500% profit on his original investment.

Since then, my journey has given opportunity to work for non-profit corporations, government departments, housing development, healthcare services, and community programs. In every role, I held leadership roles from manager to CEO/Executive Director. The roles came with overwhelming challenges, forcing me to reach out for help from mentors, coaches, and other leaders.

All this experience I wish resulted in amazing wins every time, but I would be lying. What it taught me was there is always a way to go to the next level. You just cannot give up especially in the face of failure.
