Creative Kicks Media is the crew you bring in when the brief is “stay calm” even while everything behind the scenes is absolute chaos. We care about how we work, and we keep standards high. We’re almost obsessively prepared so, on the day, we can stay flexible and solve problems fast without the stress spilling onto set.
Sustainability matters to us too. We reuse what we can, run rechargeables where it makes sense, and leave no trace on site.
Creative Kicks exists because I got hooked on three things early on: sound, travel, and a great story. Music got me through the door, travel kept me curious, and film taught me a simple truth: if the audio is cooked, the moment is gone. Same deal with visuals and live shows. It started with two speakers stored behind a couch in Elwood that I hired out, plus a little studio setup in my spare room.
Today, we work from the Cotton Mills in Footscray, Naarm Melbourne, on the Maribyrnong River, about 10 minutes from the CBD. We still travel across Victoria, Australia, and overseas, but the studio is our base for shoots, podcast sessions, gear prep, post production and the last minute problem solving clients rarely see.
What we do is easy to explain and hard to do well. If there’s a mic, a drone, a camera, or a bit of creative thinking needed, we’re on it.
We record clean location sound for TV, reality, documentary, run and gun, branded content, and commercial shoots. We manage live and broadcast audio and event production so the room feels effortless and punchy, not loud and messy. We deliver licensed drone photo and video with approvals and planning sorted, no cowboy behaviour on the day. We record podcasts in studio or on location that sound like they belong alongside the big players. And when you just need equipment, we hire out obsessively clean, well maintained audio gear that’s ready to go.
