The credit repair industry is constantly changing. While disputing negative accounts is a part of the process, it is only 1 of a few important steps in the repair process. Building credit is extremely important. Typically you want to have at least 2-3 open positive accounts that report to all 3 credit bureaus. We recommend 2 revolving credit cards and 1 installment loan. There are credit builder accounts such as secured credit cards for people with poor credit who can not get approved for a regular unsecured credit card. Secured means that the consumer may have to put a security deposit usually $200-500 to open the account. There are also credit builder loans in which you can get a small $300 loan and make monthly payment in order to build your credit scores and show on time payment history on your credit reports. Credit coaching involves not only disputing negative accounts but coming up with a plan to build credit and in some cases paying or settling negative items on your credit, as long as that company will agree to remove the account from all 3 credit reports.
