Continuing Education Company, Inc. (CEC) is an independent, non-profit, 501 (c)(3) continuing medical education (CME) organization for primary care, family medicine and internal medicine physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. We have been developing and presenting continuing medical education programs for over 29 years. Our mission is to develop and provide educational opportunities to improve the skills and knowledge of medical and healthcare professionals. We accomplish this mission by offering American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and ABIM MOC accredited live CME conferences and online courses.
Educational activities are developed with the guidance of Continuing Education Company’s Curriculum Advisory Committee. The committee, lead by our Medical Director is comprised of physicians, pharmacists, educators who have extensive clinical and CME experience.
The mission of the Continuing Education Company (CEC) CME program is to facilitate and encourage the process of lifelong learning and to promote continuous improvement in patient health care. The content of the CME program includes a broad range of activities designed for primary care and specialist education. Continuing Education Company provides education to a national audience of primary care clinicians. CME content is designed to address professional practice gaps of family physicians, internal medicine physicians, osteopathic physicians, general practitioners, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Special attention is given to the unique needs of clinicians working in remote and rural parts of the United States. Educational activities are provided in a variety formats including live courses and conferences, internet-based enduring materials, jointly sponsored activities in collaboration with outside organizations of recognized merit.
Continuing Education Company fosters the continuing professional development of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants through educational activities that will enhance their medical knowledge, develop their skills (competence), improve their performance in practice, and ultimately, improve patient outcomes.
