Clayton Douglas Design was founded in 2020 by me, Clayton! I have been working with small businesses and non profits to establish or update their web presence and branding since receiving my degree in Industrial Design in 2017. However, my passion for design grew early with one of my first public facing projects being my family’s automotive shop in Sacramento. Folsom is the city I grew up in and now live with my wife and daughter and I love seeing the local economy thrive. As a local web designer in Folsom, I’m engaged in the community and am a member of the Chamber of Commerce. I look to support our local small businesses any way I can.

Having a presence on the web is essential for any business today, but too often business owners don’t have the time or energy to learn how to get everything set up properly or they don’t know how to access, manage, or update what is already in place. Clayton Douglas Design has developed a unique process that enables business owners to take control of their online presence including their website, social media pages, and review sites. I work with clients directly and provide full access and training to clients upon project completion. Plus, if you have questions in the future, I provide free support for quick help (under 15 min.) I approach my projects with a human-centered design point of view. When working with me, you will see the beauty of design and not get bogged down with the technicalities.

Your new website and branding are only 4 steps away: 

Book – We’ll start with a free consultation and discuss what your needs are. Then we’ll set a project start date. 
Plan – During the planning phase, you’ll be provided with a content-gathering guide to complete and we’ll work through your aesthetic preference. This is all to be completed before your project start date. 
Design – This phase is 2 weeks long. During this time I am 100% devoted to designing for your business. In the end, all of your deliverables will be completed and available to you. 
Finish – You’ll be given access to your new site and web presence as well as any other deliverables. Then, we’ll do a training session on how to access, navigate, and make changes. 

I offer a few different packages to help get your business to where it needs to be.

If your business is just getting started or in need of a branding refresh, my Complete Package has you covered. We’ll walk through the branding process together and in the end, you’ll get a Logo, Color Palette, Branding Guide PDF, and 4 branded assets of your choosing (business cards, flyers, social media template, etc.). Then we’ll walk through my unique website and web presence design process to ensure your customers can find your business online and can easily interact. 

If your business already has established branding but is needing to improve its website and web presence, then the Website+ package is for you. We’ll work through what is essential for your business and ensure your website is speaking to your ideal client. As your custom website is designed, we’ll combine the content you provide with my design expertise to create an attractive new website while ensuring users can easily take action in the way you desire (i.e. Join a mailing list, purchase a product, book a consultation.)

I am a Designer not a Coder (though I do know how to do some coding as well). Everything I do is focused on improving the experience for end users. The process I have developed makes it easy for you, as the business owner, to manage all of your web presence, including updating and modifying your website. Too often, websites are built on complex platforms that require business owners to constantly be reaching out to the website manager or IT support. They then have to wait for the requested changes to be made. This adds long-term frustration, as well as cost, and delays progress. This complex system is antiquated and inefficient. Clayton Douglas Design uses modern well-supported platforms that are user-friendly and produce great results quickly. You are empowered to take ownership of your businesses assets and easily modify and update whenever you need to.

My focus on the end users means that everything Clayton Douglas Design does is designed in a way that’ll be easy to understand and use while causing as little friction as possible for you and your ideal clients wanting to take action with your business.
