Dr. Lorelei Starbuck and her husband, Rev. Ed Sarnella. Together, they have officiated over 4,000 weddings across Texas, Colorado, Las Vegas, and California. In 2012, they founded Elope in Austin to give couples an alternative to expensive, high-pressure weddings. In 2020, they moved the Chapel of Love to its current home at Star Hill Ranch and transformed it into a boutique destination for elopements and micro weddings. Lorelei brings not only her professional expertise but also a deeply personal touch. With a PhD in religion and decades of experience guiding couples, she is known for her “Love Story” ceremonies—custom-written narratives that share how couples met, what makes their relationship special, and the dreams they hold for their future. Each ceremony is crafted to honor the individuality of the couple while still capturing the universal beauty of love and commitment.
