Because we use Real Western Red Cedar exclusively, our engraved signs will gracefully weather a lifetime. We also formulate a proprietary Cedar finish refresher, which, if the customer applies to their sign every other summer, will keep the beautiful cinnamon tones of cedar rather than graying.
Ours is a family-owned and operated business in the heart of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes. Regrettably, we cannot offer folks will calls or an opportunity to pick up their completed signs as our manufacturing-facility is in a industrial area and is not staffed as a retail environment. Although our core product is carved outdoor welcome signs for cottages,
lodges, cabins, vacation places, farms, Homes, or businesses, (we create plenty of indoor signs as well), every one is custom – there is nothing in stock or off-the-shelf because we help folks design what they want. We collaborate with them by phone and email using scale renderings (proofs). Each proof may include multiple iterations of their idea using different fonts, styles and images – any image at all, not just pick from a page of horses, for instance. We do as many as needed and for as long as it takes until our customers says, “Yes! That’s the one – carve it”. We do that for FREE. Upfront. For everybody.

Ours is an Old Craft where secrets of art and design were passed on only after thoughtful lessons, long hours, disciplined patience, apprenticeship, and earned reward. Our exceptionally beautiful engraved wood signs are all Cedar-Oil infused (Thuja plicata – essential oil) for beautiful, rich coloring of mellow amber, reddish cinnamon, and rich sienna brown. Our Proprietary techniques are evident in our carvings and every piece of lumber. We do a lot of carving. We leave the natural grains, small, tight knots, and unique patterns undisturbed. You won’t find these kind of signs at carnivals, craft fairs, or sites like Etsy!
