I guide you through the process to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, so you leave knowing you’ll have photographs that make you look as confident, professional, and approachable as you really are. I coach you to make the facial expressions I can capture to make you look like you in your pictures. I work with you to make the photographs you need to tell your story to your audience, whether it’s a business group, social media followers, or a casting agent.

I start by learning about you and how you will use your new professional headshots. You choose what color background you need. We’ll use a few to make sure you get what you need. We’ll talk about what you want to wear and what will work best on camera, including hair and makeup. If you want to work with a professional makeup artist, I’ve found a fantastic business that can help you.

I have spent most of my working life in TV and online news. As a writer and producer, my job is to choose words and images to tell a story in the best way possible. As a copy editor, I refine someone else’s words to make sure whoever is reading, watching, or listening understands the story the writer and producer are trying to tell.

My work as a headshot photographer is essentially the same. You know your story. I’ll work with you to make the photographs you need to tell your story to your audience, whether it’s headshots for a business or social media audience or portraits that tell a story about your family to friends and relatives.

I’m Camille Wright Felton. I called my business Category 5 Photography because my father named me after the category 5 hurricane.
