As a complete novice she soon became hooked on the bag making craft and when sourcing her own bag making supplies she decided to set up Bobbin Girl to sell quality bag making supplies and accessories at a reasonable price. She has also been a bag pattern tester for many major bag pattern designers in the industry. Making a bag is a labour of love so why settle for cheap bag making accessories!

Bobbin Girl sells a large range of bag making hardware and interfacing, hardware used to make bag handles for example and metal accessories to decorate it; interfacing is used in the innards of a bag, the stuff that makes a bag stand up, give it structure and provide its robustness to stand up to everyday use.

Based in the Staffordshire Moorlands, Alison not only loves bag making but also her trusty 34 year old camper van Bessie who transports her and Teddy, her beloved Bichon Frise to wonderful destinations throughout the UK
