Big Ray and the Kool Kats is a premier live band that brings the golden era of swing, jazz, and big band music back to life with an electrifying modern twist. Based in the United States, our ensemble is known for its high-energy performances, timeless sound, and the ability to get audiences of all ages up on their feet and dancing. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate gala, community event, or private celebration, Big Ray and the Kool Kats deliver unforgettable entertainment that combines professional musicianship with genuine showmanship.
Our founder, Big Ray, is a passionate bandleader with decades of experience performing across the country and internationally. He assembled a group of world-class musicians, each with a strong background in jazz, swing, Motown, and pop, to create a band that could seamlessly blend classic hits with modern favorites. This versatility sets us apart: one moment we’re channeling the roaring energy of a 1940s swing orchestra, and the next we’re delivering a soulful rendition of a Motown classic or a contemporary chart-topper.
What truly makes Big Ray and the Kool Kats unique is not only our repertoire but also the way we engage with audiences. Every show is tailored to the event, ensuring that guests experience a one-of-a-kind performance. Our musicians don’t just play music—they create an atmosphere, bringing joy, excitement, and energy to every occasion. Over the years, we’ve performed for countless weddings, corporate clients, and community events, earning a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and top-tier entertainment.
