Aussie UnderCover® – hidden underground pool cover systems
Pool covers are essential to maintain a good pool balance, retain heat and reduce water loss but why have a pool cover roller out in the open and obvious – Real Aussie Pools was the first to develop a solution to ensure that your pool area is sleek and stylish at all times! If you are after a concealed pool cover roller system, we have four kit styles which will suit most applications.

Aussie Undercover® commenced installations in 2008 being the first in Australia to develop and locally manufacture an underground pool cover system. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength. We continue to manufacture in Nowra NSW supporting local jobs and we distribute throughout Australia and internationally. We are currently setting up a national dealer network which will further enhance our sales and installation services.
The Aussie UnderCover® is the only system on the market that is truly ‘hidden’. The lid frame supplied in each kit can be covered with tiles up to 20mm thick or timber products up to 35mm thick. Kits are available in nine (9) adjustable sizes and each system is individually customised to suit the height and weight of the product being used to conceal the lid frame. Our system suits all fibreglass, precast concrete pools and standard concrete pools up to 7m wide. We have a database of all preformed fibreglass and concrete pool shells manufactured in Australia, so our staff are able to advice customers, builders, landscapers etc on the correct sized system and installation method to match their pool and landscape environment.

A recent pool designed and installed by Real Aussie Pools at Woodhill on the NSW South Coast, is a rural stunner. The pool takes advantage of the fabulous coastal views over 7 Mile Beach and the hinterland at Gerringong. A pool cover was required, but the vista could not be destroyed by a standard above ground roller or a visible aluminium lid cover system. The Aussie UnderCover® was the perfect solution, as it’s completely concealed under the travertine paving using a matching 12mm tile on the lid frame. The system also fits into a tiny 390mm wide cavity and is designed to walk on, which means it can easily be part of the pool high traffic area.

Another Aussie UnderCover® under deck installation in the Melbourne suburb of Balwyn North, features a 138x22mm spotted gum covered lid frame, completely concealing the pool cover within the pool deck. Matthew of Mackenzie Landscape Constructions adapted the lid frame to fit three wide boards, so the lid is seamless within the timber deck. The Aussie UnderCover® is positioned in front of the spa, in a high traffic area, and again is only visible when you need to remove or restore the cover to the pool. This installation also features the Power21 semi remote-control system.

In the picturesque area of Kincumber, NSW, another Aussie UnderCover® was also recently installed to maximise the available pool side space in a small courtyard. A 15mm tile was used on the lid frame to match the surrounding paving, making the system virtually invisible. The lid of the Aussie UnderCover® is in the walk way and pool furniture is positioned on top of the system to take advantage of every inch.

New Product Innovation
Many customers are not sure whether to go with a manual or automatic pool cover system but with the Aussie UnderCover® this is not an issue as all our systems are upgradable from manual to semi remote-control. Further innovations are currently in development so watch this space for existing news to come.
