Asatre (pronounced āh-sūh-tray) began its journey in November of 2019 in Oakland, California by two young entrepreneurs, Ethan Smith and Chyna Barrett.

Asatre (pronounced Ah-sah-tray) comes from “Asa,” meaning hemp in Japanese, and “Tre,” representing our three founders. Together, the name reflects our mission to create sustainable hemp products with purpose and authenticity.
Founded in 2019 in San Francisco, CA, moved in 2021 to Good Hope, Georgia, Asatre is a family-owned sustainable fashion brand offering eco-friendly clothing, accessories, and pet products made from hemp, organic cotton, and other natural fibers.
