ABODES caters to executive and corporate longer-term stays of 30-120 days or more. All properties are in or near downtown Rochester, NY, and in proximity to many of corporate offices and headquarters, including the University of Rochester and Rochester Regional Health and their associated medical centers.
Each ABODES is uniquely furnished with luxury furniture and amenities, including original artwork, fully equipped kitchens, large-screen TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities inside or in the building. Some ABODES offer workout rooms or fitness centers with off-street or covered parking available for an extra fee. Extras like weekly cleaning can also be arranged if desired.
ABODES offers three “styles” of apartments: Classic ABODES, which are in larger or older homes, offer an “at home” look and feel; Modern ABODES, which are most often located in newly renovated or rehabbed buildings, offer a more modern, sleek vibe; and LUXE ABODES, larger units showcasing an extra level of sophistication and luxury. ABODES uses a concierge service which includes meeting guests upon their arrival, or we can arrange for contactless arrival and key pick-ups. A stay at an ABODE is far more economical than a stay in a similar quality and location hotel and offers more room plus fully equipped kitchens. Some units even offer the option of having a pet!
Unique to ABODES, is our exclusive Flex-Stay™ Program, giving guests the option of extending their stay with notice up to 30 days from the original departure date. This flexibility allows guests to consider extending their stays without having to find a new rental option.
The founders of ABODES (Lewis Stess and Michael Philipson) are visionary entrepreneurs; one with a history of developing forward-thinking projects in urban design and the non-profit sector, and the other a graphic and web artist with over 30 years of experience in creating brands, identity work, and marketing materials. Together, they bring a sensibility of designed functionality to each rental unit, often mixing vintage mid-century modern with bespoke furnishings and accessories to create beautiful and luxurious surroundings worthy of being called ‘home’.
