A Life Unfolding

My name is Libbie, and I am a 50-something empty-nester still trying to figure out what I will be when I grow up. I’ve raised two amazing daughters and have three adult stepkids who are raising nine (yes, you read that right!!) little ones of their own these days. In 2020, I decided to leave my 30-year career working in the home décor industry to concentrate on our growing short-term and long-term rental properties. That has evolved into another side business of helping other Airbnb hosts design and stage their properties. It keeps me busy, and I’ve discovered DESIGN + HOSTING = MY HAPPY PLACE.

I’m a lover of quick-and-easy DIY projects a beautifully crafted cocktail, and I can be fearless about diving into home renovations (to my husbands’ dismay). My love language is texture, and you’ll see a lot of it in my home. I’m that one friend that gets invited over to your house to help pick out paint colors or advise you on how to hang your art (lower, always lower). I like to think of this blog as my place to share trends, design inspiration, a quick DIY, or my latest home decor finds, just as I’ve always done with my friends.
