THink Aesthetics is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45188) specializing in the nationally recognized and accredited courses like the SHB50321 Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing, HLTINF005 Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration Treatments and SHBBFAS004 Provide Lash and Brow Services. THink Aesthetics provides training that sets industry benchmarks for quality, safety, and professionalism across the cosmetic tattooing, beauty, nursing, and body art sectors. Owned and managed by Liz McGowan, our expert educators regularly present at national and international conferences, contributing to the global reputation of Australian vocational training in the Cosmetic tattoo and Permanent Makeup (PMU) Industries THink Aesthetics was founded in October 2015, THink Aesthetics is a three-generation family business led by Managing Director Liz McGowan. Liz transitioned from a 13-year career as an Occupational Therapist to establish THink Aesthetics alongside her mother, Janice, and daughter, Chalatice. It soon became a full family affair when Liz's 2 other daughters joined the team. Liz's husband came into the business stating he would work for THink for 3 months and that was over 10 years ago. Our mission was to create a safe, professional learning environment for cosmetic tattooing, with a strong focus on standards and regulation. Recognizing that beauty is an unregulated industry, THink dedicated nearly two years to becoming a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). In June 2017, THink Aesthetics achieved national accreditation (RTO 45188), becoming the first RTO dedicated specifically to cosmetic tattoo training with a focus on essential infection control. Our educational philosophy prioritizes a personalized, individual training model over unaccredited group sessions. This approach ensures that every student receives focused, hands-on guidance and in-depth mentoring. Our blended learning model combines comprehensive online content with 1:1 in-person practical sessions to ensure skill mastery. Today, THink Aesthetics is one of only seven RTOs in Australia providing the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing. This milestone highlights our ongoing commitment to Nationally Accredited training, cutting-edge innovation and excellence in the student experience. National Accreditation is the core of our business and we remain dedicated to advancing the industry through high-quality education and innovative treatment solutions. Furthermore, we provide ongoing technical and business mentoring post-graduation to support our students in maintaining sustainable, compliant businesses.
