Why We Created Novum Salons – The Story Behind Our Brand

At Novum, everything starts with connection, connection to ourselves, to one another, and to the way we want to feel when we step out into the world. Novum Salons was born from a simple, yet powerful belief: that hair, beauty, skin, and wellness should never be a luxury or a quick fix. They should be part of a life that celebrates self-expression, confidence, and care. This is our story, and the story of how Novum became more than a salon—it became a community.

The Beginning of Novum: A New Standard for Hair, Beauty, and Wellness
“Novum” means new, and our goal was exactly that: to create something new in an industry that can often feel transactional, rushed, or impersonal. We founded Novum Salons in Cheshire with a vision to reimagine what salons could offer, not just in terms of services, but in how those services made people feel.
Our mission was to bring expert treatments, thoughtful care, and a deeply personal experience together under one brand. This meant creating spaces where both clients and team members could thrive—where confidence and individuality are nurtured every single day.

We launched not one, but two purpose-led salons:
• Novum – Hair & Beauty in Tarvin, Chester
• Novum – Skin & Wellness in Kingsley, Frodsham

Why two salons? Because people’s needs aren’t one-dimensional, and we didn’t want our services to be either. Each location has its own specialism, and together, they represent the full spectrum of care we believe in.

Here, we offer cutting, colouring, styling, nails, waxing, lashes and brows, make-up, and personal styling. It’s where transformation begins with the hair and beauty you see in the mirror.

Novum – Skin & Wellness, Kingsley
This is where we dive deeper into skin health, advanced facial treatments, holistic wellness, body contouring, and healing therapies. It’s a space designed to nurture the deeper layers of your confidence and wellbeing. We also offer beauty services such as gents grooming, waxing, lashes and brows, and nail care.

Together, they work in harmony, because your outer glow is inseparable from your inner wellness.
