Taidepiste is a Finnish art supply store that operates online and serves creative people across the country. Founded by Sami Halttunen – an artist and entrepreneur with a deep personal passion for painting and quality materials – Taidepiste was born out of a desire to offer something better: expert-level service, carefully selected products, and genuine inspiration for anyone interested in art. The store specializes in painting supplies such as acrylics, oils, watercolors, brushes, palette knives, painting surfaces, and mediums. The product range includes trusted brands like Liquitex, Winsor & Newton, Amsterdam, and Golden. Each item is hand-picked based on practical experience – Taidepiste doesn’t aim to sell everything to everyone, but only what actually works in the studio. Sami himself is the face of the business. He creates educational content, tests materials in practice, and shares insights through social media and the Taidepiste blog. Customers don't just get a product – they get guidance, encouragement, and support, whether they're painting their very first watercolor piece or refining professional acrylic work. What sets Taidepiste apart from larger competitors is its personal, authentic approach. With an artist’s eye and a genuine commitment to helping others grow, the business bridges the gap between beginners and experienced creators. The goal is to help everyone find their style and joy in making art. While the store is fully digital, the service is still very much handcrafted: driven by expertise, thoughtful curation, and creative passion. At Taidepiste, quality art supplies aren't just tools – they’re part of the creative process, and they make a difference.
