newblinds.co.uk

In 1999, NewBlinds.co.uk launched as the UK’s first online retailer of window blinds. We are now the most trusted online brand in blinds offering the most comprehensive selection of made-to-measure window blinds and fly screens on the web.

In 1989, long before we launched Newblinds.co.uk, we began life as a family business and local manufacturer and installer of blinds – producing blinds for installation into homes and facilities such as schools, hospitals and offices.

The first iteration of the Newblinds.co.uk website was built as a University gap-year project in 1999 by Tim Pendleton, the current Managing Director of the company. The internet and online-sales were in their infancy and Tim was keen to test the waters and find out if he could reach a wider customer base and sell blinds nationally with an online shop.

Needless to say, it quickly transformed the business with sales exploding rapidly. Today, we specialise in online sales only, serving the whole of the UK market, but our knowledge and experience of manufacturing and installing blinds assists us in advising and serving our Newblinds.co.uk customers.

From roller blinds and vertical blinds, to blinds for velux windows and flyscreens – our product range is vast and growing and always on the leading edge.

We were the first online retailer to offer automated blinds and now many of our blind types can be purchased with battery, solar or mains powered motors. Our motorised blinds can be controlled with a simple handset or wall switch, integrated into a smart home system such as Control4 or Crestron, or operated with a voice assistant such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. “Alexa.. Close Blinds”!

We offer innovative clip fit solutions such as Perfect Fit Blinds by Louvolite and Intu Blinds by Eclipse. Both blind types require no drilling or screwing and simply clip fit onto brackets that are inserted into the beading. Intu and Perfect Fit systems are also available as different blind styles including venetian, roller and pleated.

As we move forward, we look to expand the range of blind types we have available to buy online to include custom made electric skylight blinds, automated duette pleated blinds and Louvolite Allusion blinds.

All of our blinds are completely custom-made and of the highest quality. We have a massive collection of fabrics from leading suppliers and brands to suit the most discerning taste and requirement. This, combined with the web’s most competitive prices, enables us to be sure that you will be able to find the perfect blinds to cater for your taste and budget!

We are also proud to offer a free of charge fabric sampling service to all of our customers. We understand that browsing and choosing from such a wide range of fabrics online is not the same as leafing through fabric books. We think it’s important to be able to touch and feel a fabric, and even to hold it up against wall paper, carpets and other existing interior decor. Simply browse to the fabric page and click the ‘order free sample’ button. Pick a few different samples and they’ll be with you in a matter of days to help you confirm your fabric choice!

At Newblinds.co.uk, our reputation is our most valuable asset. Having been selling online since 1999, much of our business comes from referrals by delighted customers. Many of our small team have been with us for years and take customer service to heart. So if you have any questions, before or after you’ve placed your order, please feel free to drop us a line and we’ll always do our best to help!
