The Gallipoli Scholarship Fund, established in 1996 following a donation from a World War I Veterans Association, aims to perpetuate among young Australians the qualities of perseverance, courage, self-sacrifice, and mateship. These values were exemplified at Gallipoli and subsequent battlefields and peace operations. The fund provides financial assistance to meritorious Australian students who are direct descendants of servicemen and women and are commencing their first year of tertiary education in Australia. Successful scholars also have the opportunity to apply for specific scholarships in their second and third years. The testimonies from scholars like Darrell Burnett, Brodie Crouch, Alisha Brown, and others highlight the significant impact of these scholarships on their academic and personal lives.
