Dog Manners was born as I couldn’t find a trainer in Melbourne’s inner west that could help with my dog’s behaviour. I tried different equipment, multiple trainers, even a Vetinary Behaviourist. Eventually I found contrast method training, using mutual language and it made all the difference. I had to travel a long way, but it was so good I signed up and completed their Professional Dog Trainer course. That same dog became my demonstration dog and the founding team member of Dog Manners as I could take her anywhere.
What I realised was a dog with behaviour issues effects a lot of people, it changes how peole live, being able to have people come into their home, living harmonyously with other people or pets, or being able to go out without worrying, or being able to walk your dog. All of these create anxieties for the owners and can effect them badly. We needed to help those families who are just getting a dog to prevent any unwanted behaviours occuring or greatly assist those that are already dealing with unwanted behaviours.
Dog Manners specilialises in Private Training, we come to you, because you need to train where your relationship with your dog is created. This is where you live your lives, your home, your suburb and your household.
