The Travelling Surveyor

United Kingdom, Ramsey

The Travelling Surveyor is a travel and property blog. I'm a Building surveyor as a profession, so I will also write about projects I work on every now and then, but mainly this is a travel blog where I survey the places I visit during my trips.

Travelling is my passion, and I had the opportunity to travel to many countries in the world, but there are still many destinations out there waiting to be explored by me. As well as visiting countries abroad, I’m also passionate about visiting different places in the British Isles, a place where I chose to be my home many years ago.

I created The Travelling Surveyor because I wanted to share my travel experiences with other people and perhaps my blogs will give inspiration to others whilst they are choosing a place to visit. The aim is to inform, inspire and share my discoveries on the way. I’m an independent traveller and all my trips are paid, planned and researched meticulously by myself.

I think that the difference from my site and others is that I do not write structured posts or guides on how to get to a place, where that place is, prices of tickets and other obvious and boring information that anyone can find out by themselves.

I also don’t tell people what they should do at a place they want to visit, for example: “after visiting the museum go for a walk on the promenade or have lunch at such restaurant nearby”, like many bloggers do.

I do write about my own experience at places, what I visited, what I liked, what is worth visiting or not, all from my own experience. All with a dash of local history, interesting and useful information. This helps people decide if they would visit a place or not and to plan their own trip.

I also don’t write sponsored posts or guides. It does not mean that I will never write sponsored posts. I will probably will, but only if I have experienced the visit in full by myself and will always give my honest opinion, regardless of it being sponsored or not.
