Main Services
Our founder, Dr. Robert Heinzman began IABS Journal to open equitable publishing opportunities for academics with limited resources to afford publishing. Originally IABS Journal focused on broad topics surrounding business concepts and later reorganized to become IABS Publishing Corp. As the Chair of the WGU FLC Publishing Committee, Dr. Heinzman realized a publishing effort needed to be separate to operate and meet the goals of publishing unique out-of-the-box ideas.
To reduce barriers to innovative and creative ideas, the peer review process limits reviewer bias and maximizes out-of-the-box thinking. To ensure the publishing meets academic rigor and maximizes the visibility of published articles IABS contracts with EBSCOhost to list all published works in the EBSCO global library. EBSCOhost is an intuitive online research platform used by thousands of institutions and millions of users worldwide. With quality databases and search features, EBSCOhost helps researchers find the information they need fast. IABS also announces all publications on social media platforms and Research Gate.
All publications are open source and follow the Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0) publishing standards. Open Access Publication offers authors the opportunity to produce freely available publications globally with no individual or institutional subscription requirement. Open Access publishing aids with the citation impact and discoverability of a journal and its published contents leading to greater recognition across the academic community and in major indexes. Greater content access increases the potential of stimulating the interest of other researchers in the field for future collaboration opportunities as well as potential research funding opportunities.
Journal articles that are converted to open access have seen a 70-80% increase in citations compared to articles behind a paywall. IABS Publishing fully complies with the open access requirements of UKRI, Wellcome, and NIHR. Where required by their funder, authors retain the right to distribute their author-accepted manuscript (AAM), such as via an institutional and/or subject repository (e.g. Europe PMC), under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license per IABS Copyright Transfer Agreement.
