The founder, Justin Hossle, is the sole craftsperson behind all the pieces – working with the customer from the initial correspondence all the way to the final delivery. Each piece is handcrafted in our 2000sf studio and showroom in the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District – ranked the best arts district in the nation two years in a row.

Justin is a self-taught woodworker and designer, coming from a background in live theater management. After picking up some tools from a big box store, he began working on DIY projects around his home, fumbling his way towards mediocrity. A YouTube video inspired him to create his first furniture piece and he fell in love. A few years later he left his full-time job and began crafting furniture and decor pieces for customers near and far.

He’s been featured in Midwest Home Magazine, Minnesota Monthly, The Star Tribune and has been talked about on various Twin Cities radio and television programs.

Justin designs & builds modern furniture you will love now—and proudly hand down later. Crisp, clean lines and smooth finishes are the warm heart of every handcrafted piece. His signature exposed plywood edges, eye-popping joints, and unique wood tones energize classic materials and add some serious soul.

He keeps things simple by stripping down every design to the most essential elements – every detail in his pieces is carefully selected, and all the unnecessary embellishments are left out.

He keeps things clean by always working with, not against, geometry. The finishes he uses leave the wood with a natural, matte feeling.

His furniture is timeless yet distinctively modern at the same time. He draws inspiration from mid-century design icons – Charles and Raye Eames, Isamu Noguchi, Paul McCobb, George Nelson, Hans and Florence Knoll, Frank Lloyd Wright, to name a few. But while his pieces certainly have mid-century elements, they’re not so easily categorized.
